Stage Three

I agree what the writer is writing in this article. I myself attended Texas school on my senior year of high school. Every time that we learn something new, the teacher will say this will be on the TAKS or this questions will be on TAKS. Or TAKS will asked you this and you need to know it if you want to pass. I never heard the teacher say that "oh this section or questions will be on the finals or midterm". Even though I went one year but I felt like the teacher were stressing us about TAKS. Like saying oh pass the TAKS and make us look good instead of wanting us actually learn something from it. One time I over heard a teacher was talking to another teacher saying that sometimes they take the answer booklet and erase some of the wrong answers and mark the correct answers. I believe every school have a standard grade that they have to met with the Board of Education. I believe the school district would do anything to make the school or the teacher themselves looks good. Even if it meant to put a lot of stress on their students. Also with so many budget cut on the school activities. The students wouldn't have that much things to do to relax their minds after a stressful day at school. I believe we should have a goal of what we want to teach our students. But stressing them about the state standard test isn't an opinion. I know back when I was in high school I learn only a certain things that will be on the TAKS other than that I didn't really take anything with me to college, beside being stress out about passing the TAKS test in order to graduate high school.
